About the Tax Credit Scholarship Program
The Indiana School Scholarship Tax Credit Program was created in 2009. It is designed to help provide scholarship support for thousands of low and middle income families to enroll their children in a participating private school of their choice. A family who qualifies under the income guidelines for the federal free/reduced price lunch program is eligible. Scholarships are worth at least $500 and can go up to full tuition, depending on the program with the individual school. SGONEI works to ensure every child, regardless of income level, has access to a high-quality education. Individuals and corporations are eligible for a 50% credit against their Indiana State taxes for contributions made to this SGO in addition to their regular Federal tax deduction.
